When Mark was fourteen, one of his aunts asked him to compose a song for her wedding.  Mark eagerly took on the challenge, composing one of his most beloved pieces “Forever In My Heart”, which went on to win first place in the solo piano category of the MMEA High School Composer’s Contest (1997).  From there, Mark began performing at other weddings, anniversary parties, company gatherings, and holiday bashes.   

Indeed, Mark’s music has become a fixture among many party-throwers in the Twin Cities.  From background music at wine tasting events to front and center wedding performances, Mark’s music provides a relaxing, emotionally inviting atmosphere at any gathering or gala.  Mark often shows up without sheet music or books, relying solely on his love and indisputable gift for improvisation and composition.
